DCS Releases White Paper 2.0: “Quality and Production Control for Color Consistency in Concrete”

AUGUST 2023

DCS’ second edition of the White Paper series, titled “Quality and Production Control for Color Consistency in Concrete”, is now available for download.

This document is aimed at “boots on the ground” personnel in concrete batch plants. But, in truth, everyone from shop floor personnel up to estimating and sales can learn from this document! DCS published “Coloring Concrete Using Integral Pigment” in 2021 and this new paper takes it one step further and is geared toward in-the-plant employees, including quality control, batch plant personnel and those who create mix designs to provide them with more tools to be successful in creating consistent colored concrete.

“Quality and Production Control for Color Consistency in Concrete” covers numerous topics relative to using integral pigments in a concrete batch plant, including:

  • Sand, Cement, Ad--Mix & Aggregate selection

  • Pigment batching and dosing rates and processes

  • Mix design recommendations and best practices

  • Specific sample, batching and finishing recommendations aimed at producing the most consistent pieces possible

  • Troubleshooting efflorescence issues and other FAQ’s

This great new resource is now available for free on DCS’ website. To download a full copy of White Paper 2.0 Quality and Production Control for Color Consistency in Concrete, click here.
